Northumbria Blood Bikes 360 Challenge 2016

Riders !  you’re invited to join the

Northumbria Blood Bikes 360 Challenge on 23rd April 2016.

Northumbria Blood Bikes proudly launches the inaugural 360 Challenge for motorcyclists.

The event takes you to the furthest points of the Northumbria Blood Bikes operational area, (North, South, East and West) and will showcase some of the best areas Northumberland, Durham, and Upper Teesdale have to offer - wild spectacular Landscapes, Moor and Coast, something for everyone!

The event starts and finishes at The Road House Grill Tyneside Auto Park from 8.00am onwards. Once signed in you will be given an event card to complete on the route. A map, and a suggested route are available showing suggested roads to ride for spectacular views, but there are also four locations which you must visit to complete your event card, which needs to be shown at the finish (before 5.00pm) for you/your passenger to receive your commemorative badge.

The 360 challenge checkpoints are:

  1. Berwick upon Tweed -  Tesco Store - post code TD15 2XG
  2. Hexham -  Tesco Store - post code NE46 3PJ
  3. Low Row Fuel Station on A69 – post code  CA8 2JE
  4. Durham Tees Valley Airport ( Cleveland Motorhome shop at Airport Entrance)
    post code DL2 1PD

You can visit the checkpoints in any order, but you must visit them all to receive your award.

It's not a race, just an opportunity to enjoy some great riding in our region while helping to raise money for Northumbria Blood Bikes at the same time.

All participants who successfully complete the challenge will receive a badge (pictured left), and any rider who raises £300 or more in sponsorship will receive a special award badge (right) in recognition of their efforts.

The entry fee for the event is £15.00 per rider or £20.00 if you also carry a passenger.  A small amount of the entry fee will go towards your event badge, but all of the remaining money will go to help the running of the Northumbria Blood Bikes service.

Interested?

Online entries are now closed, but you can enter on the day at The Road House Grill Tyneside Auto Park from 8.00am onwards.
