We are extremely proud and thankful to each of our volunteers for the time they give to our charity. Every three months we have the honour to present our volunteers with recognition awards for achieving milestone shift totals.
Last night at our AGM we were proud to present the ‘Volunteer of year 2023’ award to John Reay. He was nominated by his fellow volunteers for his dedication to regular shifts and how often he stays on shift or steps up cover a shift at short notice. He is always a pleasure to talk to and work alongside. Congratulations and thank you John for all that you do for our charity!

We need you to sign up to our team for Race for Recipients in honour of our little friend Beatrix's Heart Journey. You can walk, run, cycle or swim the distance between 16th-24th September (NHS Organ Donation week). Let’s try and get as many people to join team ‘Northumbria Blood Bikes’.
Our charity Northumbria Blood Bikes has won a £1,000 Movement for Good Award from Benefact Group thanks to nominations from you our supporters.
We have been selected to receive a £1,000 donation as part of Benefact Group's Movement for Good Awards, which is giving over £1million to charities for the fifth year running.
This money will enable us to keep our fleet on the road so that we can continue to service the NHS.
We recently sent off a box of ink cartridges collected by our volunteers at one of our meetings. Today we received a donation value confirmation email from Recycle4Charity:
“Thank you for recycling your cartridges with us. With your help we have kept 383564 Kg of waste out of landfill sites.
